Home care providers in Canberra

Last updated 20 August 2026

Provider details verified August 2026

These providers deliver Support at Home — the program that replaced Home Care Packages in November 2025 — across Canberra and the ACT. Because the territory is compact, most providers cover all of it, and some service Queanbeyan across the border as the same catchment.

What to know about home care in Canberra

Around 32 approved home care providers operate across the ACT. Most are ACT branches of NSW or national organisations — Uniting, BaptistCare, IRT, Calvary, the Salvos — rather than Canberra-headquartered companies; Goodwin is the notable large local not-for-profit. That’s not a bad thing, but it means the local branch’s staffing matters more than the national brand, so ask how long their Canberra team has been running and who would actually visit you.

Because the ACT is compact, most providers cover the whole territory, and several treat Queanbeyan and the ACT as a single catchment — helpful if you live across the border or your family is split between the two.

Common questions

Is this every Support at Home provider in the ACT?

No — around 32 approved providers operate across the ACT, and this page lists only some of them. It’s a starting point, not an exhaustive list, and being listed isn’t an endorsement or a quality rating. You can search the full register through My Aged Care (myagedcare.gov.au or 1800 200 422) and choose any registered provider.

How is Home Care Help paid?

We may receive a fee from providers when we refer you to them. This never changes what we write, which providers we list, or the order they appear in — and our help is free to you either way.

I live in Queanbeyan — can I use an ACT provider?

Often, yes. Several providers service the ACT and Queanbeyan as one catchment, and your Support at Home funding works the same on either side of the border. Just confirm your street is genuinely covered before signing — coverage maps and reality don’t always match. Tell us where you are and we’ll check for you.
