Home care providers in Western Australia
Last updated 20 August 2026
Western Australia had 28,065 people receiving Support at Home at 31 March 2026 - most of them in Perth, where a group of long-established WA not-for-profits lead the market. Perth is our covered city below; if you’re in regional WA, we can check who genuinely services your town.

Home care in WA: the 2026 picture
Perth is well served, and the market has a distinctly Western Australian character: it’s dominated by WA-founded not-for-profits rather than eastern-states chains. Silverchain - founded in WA and now a national top-five home care provider - is the historic community care name here, alongside Amana Living, Juniper and Bethanie. On waiting times, the government’s first wait-times report (covering November 2025 to March 2026) put the WA median at around 298 days from application to services starting, close to the national median of 294.
Beyond the metro area, WA has the sharpest city-country divide of any state. The Kimberley, Pilbara, Goldfields and Gascoyne are classic thin markets where mainstream providers are scarce and flexible aged care services fill gaps. Juniper has been the consolidator in regional towns - taking on services in Albany and Esperance - and travel charges over long distances are standard while providers set their own prices, so ask what applies before you sign anything. For free, independent support, Advocare is the WA member of the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN, 1800 700 600).
Outside Perth?
Our Perth page covers the metro area, and several of the providers listed there also run regional services - but coverage beyond the metro varies town by town, and no single list stays accurate for long in the regions. If you’re in the South West, Great Southern, Wheatbelt, Mid West or further north, tell us your town and we’ll check which registered providers genuinely cover it, free.

Common questions
I’m not in Perth - can I still get Support at Home?
Yes. Support at Home operates statewide, but which providers cover your town varies, and in remote areas flexible aged care services may serve your community instead of mainstream providers. Tell us where you are and we’ll check who genuinely covers your area, free.
Do WA providers charge for travel?
In the regions, commonly yes - providers set their own prices, and travel or per-kilometre charges over WA’s long distances are standard. Any travel charge must be set out in your service agreement, so ask exactly what applies to your address before you sign. Within metro Perth it’s much less of an issue.
Are these all the home care providers in WA?
No. We list providers we’ve verified as registered for Support at Home and genuinely servicing Perth - our directory grows as we confirm more. The full national register is always searchable through My Aged Care (myagedcare.gov.au or 1800 200 422).
