Compare providers, side by side

Under Support at Home, providers set their own prices - and the differences between them are real money out of your quarterly budget. These comparisons put published fees and rates next to each other so you can see the differences before you sign anything.

Last updated 20 August 2026

All fees and rates on these pages were verified against providers' published pricing in August 2026.

Why comparing matters more than it used to

Hourly price caps were legislated to start on 1 July 2026, but in May 2026 the government deferred them indefinitely. So providers still set their own prices, and two providers in the same suburb can charge very different rates for the same hour of care. The one fee that is capped everywhere is care management - no more than 10% of your quarterly budget - but what that 10% buys you still varies, because providers charge different hourly rates against it. National median prices (around $115 an hour for personal care, $110 for cleaning) are a useful yardstick, not a rule.

How we build these comparisons

Three things to know about every page in this section.

We only use published pricing. Every dollar figure and percentage comes from a provider's own published price list, pricing page or fee document. Where a provider doesn't publish a figure, we say "not published" - we never estimate or fill gaps. All figures were verified in August 2026, and providers can change their prices at any time, so always confirm current pricing with the provider before you sign a service agreement.

We don't pick winners. A low fee suits some people and a fuller service suits others, so we frame every comparison as "suits you if" rather than "best". What matters is the match between a provider's model and how much coordination you want to do yourself.

How we're funded. We may receive a fee from providers when we refer you. This never changes how providers are ranked, described or compared - the disclosure sits in our footer on every page, and our comparisons would read the same without it.

Prefer to browse by location instead? Start from the provider directory, or go straight to your state: NSW, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, ACT or the Northern Territory.
